Today, the United States is stronger and better positioned to seize theopportunities of a still new century and safeguard our interests against therisks of an insecure world. The President’s new National SecurityStrategy provides a vision and strategy for advancing the nation’sinterests, universal values, and a rules-based international order through strongand sustainable American leadership. The strategy sets out the principles andpriorities thatdescribe how America will lead the world toward greater peaceand a new prosperity.
今天，美国更加强大，所处的形势更加有利，可以更好的把握仍然处于新世纪时代的各种机会，捍卫我们的国家利益，抵御这个不安全世界中的各种风险。总统的《国家安全战略》为利用美国强有力、可持续的领导地位促进国家利益、普世价值、基于原则的国际秩序提供了一个愿景和战略。该战略为美国领导世界走向更加和平、更加繁荣设定了原则和优先事项。并针对安全、繁荣、价值观和国际秩序这四个主要方面进行了阐述。

Working withCongress to end the draconian cuts imposed by sequestration that threaten theeffectiveness of our military and other instruments of power.
